The Touch of the Master’s Hand

The Touch of the Master’s Hand

“But the Master comes, and the foolish crowd does not understand the change of worth that appears in a man’s life through the touch of the Master’s hand.”

In the beginning, man, the crowning creation on day six, was just a clay, inanimate statue. Emmanuel, the God with us, speaking to his Holy counterparts, had said, “Let us make man in our Image.” The hand-crafting was finished. The image was beautiful, the image was dead, inanimate. Then came the touch of the Master, “And (God) breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being” (Genesis 1:7).

The above painting is on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in Rome, painted by Michelangelo 1508 AD to 2 November, 1512 AD. This next year, life-sized photos of all of Michelangelo’s painting in the Sistine Chapel  will be on display in the United States. It will open at Texas State Fair in Dallas on 30 September. Thirty-four square feet pictures on 16-foot panels.

This week, Brother Steve will take us by the hand and Raise The Bar: One Touch at a Time. Come with your heart prepared to be touched by the Master’s hand.
