Rescue the Perishing
The church can rescue the political prisoner as Ebed-Melech and the king did. The church can rescue the physically and spiritually wounded as Lori and Queno did. The church can, with God’s help, rescue a perishing nation as God and Queen Esther did. The church can redeem the idol worshipers as God and Paul did in Ephesus, defeating the silversmiths.
The church is in the business of rescuing the perishing of all types. Some churches do not make welcome jail birds; Agape welcomes them all with a new beginning. Some churches do not welcome sinners as the Great Commission requires. Agape is home base for sinners. Some churches shy away from political matters and wonder why the government has lost true North; Agape is right in the middle of it. Our job is to rescue all the perishing.
