The angels had the good news,
“Why seek the living among the dead?”
Jesus said, “I told you what to expect!” Matthew 16:21, “From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.” Like so many today, Jesus speaks and the crowd only hears what they want to hear. Today, God has spoken, but we have not been paying attention. He has given us the answer, but we were busy in our own thoughts. When will we bow before the Messiah of the open tomb and say, “Speak, Lord, your servant is really listening.”
