Seeking Unsearchable Riches

Seeking Unsearchable Riches

For the past 50+ years an average of 8,000 “unsearchable riches” seekers have braved the dangers of desert heat, rattlers, and landslides in the Superstition Mountains of Central Arizona, seeking the “Lost Dutchman’s Mine.” There are at least 62 different accounts of the late 1800s prospector, Jacob Waltz, and his gold mine in the desert hills N.E. of Apache Junction.

Not much was known until 1949 and a Phoenix businessman, Barry Storm, an Outfitter for desert travel, “discovered” a hand-drawn copy of a map to the mine. Storm bankrolled in Hollywood with Ida Lapino’s film, Lust For Gold. A barely veiled promotion, a guide to go get the gold. You could buy a copy of the map if you bought your supplies from Barry. A modern gold rush—and many died in the mountains. The governor of Arizona bought a map and hired my 80-year-old buddy, Victor Shaw, to verify, “No gold in the Superstitions.”

Today, Paul is offering the unsearchable riches of Jesus Christ to us Gentiles. No map to buy. You have the road map with you. Today I will be your guide to fantastic riches in Christ. You will become recipients of the manifold wisdom of God and will receive the password that opens approaching to God with freedom at any time.
